CDL Class A Training

The widest range of trucking jobs and the highest earning potential - tractor-trailers, tankers and flatbeds. Get road-ready in about four weeks.

Why Class A

The license that opens the most doors.

A Class A CDL lets you operate any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs or more, where the towed unit is heavier than 10,000 lbs. That covers the trucks that move America:

Tractor-trailers - semis, big rigs, eighteen-wheelers
Tanker vehicles
Flatbeds
Livestock carriers

Whether you are starting fresh or upgrading from a Class B, our program is built to get you fully prepared for the permit tests, the pre-trip inspection and the road test.

The Class A Advantage

More versatility. More pay. More jobs.

Versatility

A Class A CDL lets you operate a far wider variety of commercial vehicles than a Class B - so you are never boxed into one type of job.

Higher Earning Potential

Class A drivers commonly earn more thanks to larger, more complex equipment and long-haul routes. New NC drivers often start around $50k-$70k+/yr.

More Job Opportunities

From local hauls to cross-country freight, a Class A unlocks the broadest pool of openings - including the routes that pay best.

Career Advancement

Many carriers prefer - or require - a Class A for their top positions, so your license keeps paying off as you move up.

ELDT-Compliant

Our curriculum meets the federal Entry-Level Driver Training standard required for every first-time CDL since February 2022.

Who This Is For

ELDT requirements & your NC permit.

Federal Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) sets the minimum training standard for new commercial drivers. You are subject to ELDT if you are applying for a Class A or Class B CDL for the first time, upgrading your CDL, or earning an H, P, or S endorsement for the first time. Our program is fully ELDT-compliant.

NC residents: a CDL permit is NOT required to start training.
Want a permit anyway? Pass General Knowledge, Combination & Air Brakes.
We guide you through every test during the course.

Drivers who held a valid CDL or CLP before Feb 7, 2022 are not subject to ELDT.

Plan Ahead
